The Skeleton Gorge hike is an amazing way to experience Table Mountain’s natural beauty. Starting from the world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the trail leads you through a peaceful canopy of tall, ancient trees, away from the noise of the city.
As you climb, you’ll hear the gentle sounds of streams and smell the fresh scent of indigenous fynbos. The path winds through a steep gorge with mossy rocks and small waterfalls—perfect for a moment to relax or take a few photos.
Along the way, keep an eye out for local birds and shy wildlife, which add a bit of magic to the journey. At the top, the hike ends with breathtaking 360 views while you enjoy some well-deserved snacks, breakfast or lunch. Finally, we head to the Upper Cable Car station for an easy ride down.
